In part I of this article, I introduced you to the concept of earning money simply by writing good quality content, and placing ‘pay-per-click’ adverts on your web pages (such as Google’s AdSense program).

Let’s take a closer look at Google’s AdSense program...

Say you’ve built your own web site and have joined the free 'AdSense' program...

Your site will need to be approved by Google AdSense first, so don’t submit your site until you’re sure it’s a good quality site that has at least 20 pages of great content.

Once you’re approved, Google gives you a code that you simply cut and paste into your web pages.

You can put the code into as many of your web pages as you want but obviously the more pages in which you place the code, the more likely you are to earn *more* money and here's why...

Every time a visitor visits a page on which you have pasted your AdSense code a few small text adverts appear (you can choose to have image adverts instead but text adverts seem to get ‘more clicks’ and are less intrusive).

Google's clever AdSense technology will automatically display adverts that are relevant to your topic. So if your web site is all about quilting, the adverts will be related to quilting. If it's about parenting, the adverts will be related to parenting, and so on.

'Where do these adverts come from?' I hear you ask.

Well there are lots of people and businesses out there who want to promote their web sites, products or services, so they pay Google every time someone clicks on their advert.

Now here's the good part...

If a visitor clicks on any of the Google 'AdSense' adverts on your web page - you get money!

This is such an eye-opening way to monetize that I’m going to repeat it:

If a visitor just CLICKS on any of the Google AdSense adverts on your web page - GOOGLE PAYS YOU MONEY!!!

That's right! The visitor doesn't even need to BUY anything from the advertiser! All they need to do is click on one of the adverts on your web page and Google pays you!

So Google's 'AdSense' program means that you really CAN earn money *just by attracting visitors* to your web site.

'MY web site?' I hear you quiver.

Yes YOUR web site!

Millions of web masters the world over create and run their own web sites. Even high school drop outs can do it - in fact many ARE doing it and are making a good living from it!

Heck, even young teenagers are doing it. A 14 year old Canadian girl started her own web site about her family's favorite vacation spot (Anguilla) a couple of years ago. Two years on she now earns thousands of dollars, part of which come from Google's AdSense program!

And it's not expensive to run your own web site either. In fact you can do it without spending ANY money whatsoever if you really want to (although there are drawbacks).

Google AdSense Is Not Dead, It’s Actually Still Alive and Kicking

A report came out recently claiming that AdSense is dead! I found this hard to believe since my personal AdSense business is actually gaining ground each month and making me more and more money.

After reading this report I figured out what it is all about and found several discrepancies in the authors reasoning. The report claims that the author’s own AdSense income has been falling sharply in recent months. However, if you read the report closely you will notice several flaws in the author’s thinking.

The first major flaw is that the author was building AdSense sites with auto generation software. Well, there’s the reason for his decline in AdSense earnings! Anyone who builds AdSense sites knows that Google is on a mission to rid the internet of spam and junk sites that add no value to the internet. They are de indexing auto generation sites at a feverish pave. Auto generated sites simply do not work anymore (when was the last time you heard of someone using Traffic Equalizer?).

Many people have brought this point up and the author’s response was that the quality of your site only affects the traffic you receive and not the amount of money you receive per click from AdSense. This is a valid statement; however, it is only a half truth. Junk sites won’t affect you click value but they will affect your click through rate. When a visitor lands on an auto generated site the first thing they do is hit the “back button” on their web browser. Therefore, junk sites are losing traffic and have low click through rates, a recipe for disaster when it comes to making money with Google AdSense and a quick way to have your AdSense earnings tumble!

Let’s say you receive 5000 visitors a month and you are earning $1.00 per click from AdSense. If you build quality sites and your click through rate is 10% you will receive 500 clicks and earn around $500. Now, let’s imagine that you build junk sites and you still receive the same 5000 visitors but now your click through rate drops to 2%. You will receive only 100 clicks and make $100. Your income just dropped $400, which is most likely what happened to the author of this report.

The author of this report was technically right that AdSense is dead…if you are building junk sites. If you want to build a solid AdSense business that makes you money month after month, you need to create quality websites with unique content. Don’t rely on making spam sites that do nothing for your visitor and will get de indexed by Google. Build your business on solid ground and not quick sand.

To make the right decision which ads should be shown on the third party's web pages, Google applies its Page Ranking technology, which is called content-targeting. The most imperative thing I find very strange about most archived newsletters and sites is that they do not have Google Adsense ads on the web pages.This is simply leaving money around for people like you and me to have
Although Google doesn't release the exact revenue share or percentage that webmasters will earn, webmasters will receive a percentage of the amount paid for clicks on Google ads on websites. Google still does not reveal what percentage of the advertising revenue earned is paid to the webmaster serving the ads, but they have made strides related to disclosure, in recent times lifting the ban preventing webmasters from disclosing the amount they earn through serving Google ads.
As Google grew, they began to see how much money they were leaving on the table by not including the smaller sites, which greatly outnumbered the sites serving over 20 million hits that were willing to serve other people’s ads and so here is your opportunity to make a serious income online with google as I have done now for many months.
